Dr. Ronnie Bozeman, DMD, MAGD
As of December 2018 Dr. Ronnie is retired from general practice.
A personal note from Dr. Ronnie Bozeman:
“After practicing dentistry in Thomasville for 40 years I have decided to announce my transition to retirement. I established this practice in 1978 and have enjoyed treating each and every one of you; in some cases I have treated three generations of your family. It is very hard to say goodbye, but I have to do what is best for my family, as there are many things I want to do and see.
As most of you know, my son, Dr. Adam Bozeman, has been working alongside me for the last eight years and purchased ownership of Bozeman Dental Group in November 2017. He is a caring, dedicated, and meticulous dentist. Dr. Adam restored a dental implant on me recently and has repeatedly confirmed my absolute confidence in his abilities. He is thorough, practical, and empathetic. His goal is
to continue my legacy and provide the quality care for which you have shown me your appreciation.
I could not be happier or more proud to have my son carry on my life’s work. Like me, Dr. Adam is
committed to lifelong learning with continuing education. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2010 and has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education since we have been working together.
I am so appreciative of your trust and I am confident that you will be pleased with Dr. Adam; I ask that you extend to him the same courtesy and loyalty you have afforded me over these many years. He and I have worked very closely together to ensure a smooth transition in response to your specific needs. I plan to maintain a presence in the office and will be helping in any way I can. Our fantastic team
members that you know will be here and are available to answer any questions you may have about the transition. “
Dr. Ronnie Bozeman is a Thomasville native. Both of his parents' families have lived in the Thomas County Area for the past 5 generations. He graduated from Central High School in 1971 and continued his studies at Georgia Southern University earning a B.S degree in Biology in 1974. He completed his dental degree at the Medical College of Georgia in 1977. Upon graduation, Dr. Bozeman returned to his home town, Thomasville, and opened a solo dental practice in 1978. His mother, Cynthia Bozeman, was his first dental hygienist. She completed her Dental Hygiene training in 1952.
Early in his career, Dr. Bozeman made the commitment to be a lifelong student. He felt Dentistry is a field of constant change. He realized that the only way to offer our patients the care they deserved was to continually study and work to improve our diagnostic skills and learn newer and better techniques. He has earned both "Fellowship" and "Mastership" awards from the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also completed the Dawson Academy Core Curriculum and has received their " Concept of Complete Dentistry Award". These awards represent thousands of hours of post graduate dental education.
Dr. Ronnie Bozeman is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Dawson Academy Alumni Association. He is married and has a son, a daughter, and three grandchildren. He is an avid reader, a master woodworker, and loves boating and fishing.
